5 Unmissable Samoa Attractions

Samoa is a truly fantastic place to visit, with lots to see and do. If you are the adventurous type, and have decided to book Samoa for your next holiday destination, and are wondering what to do in Samoa, here are some exciting and slightly more unusual activities to take part in on your trip.

Dive Savaii
One of the jewels in the crown of Samoa is that it is one of the few places in the world, where you have the opportunity to swim with turtles in their native environment. Whether you have been diving or snorkeling before, or this is your first time, the Dive Savaii team are first class. A friendly bunch, with a lot of knowledge and experience, they will ensure your safety at all times and while making certain that you end up with memories that will stay with you for a lifetime. Provided you enjoy spending time in the water, a visit to Dive Savaii is one of the things to do in Sua Ocean Trench
There are so many words that could be used to describe this trip, but the one that keeps being mentioned is stunning. Without doubt one of the most memorable Apia attractions, the Trench will provide you with photographs that will amaze your friends and family back home. And swimming in the crystal clear water is simply out of this world. The only negative thing to say is to be brave accessing the water; the steps are a little on the rickety side, let's just leave it at that. If you've booked your in Apia, the To Sua Ocean Trench is located just over an hours drive from the city centre, and is a must visit on any vacation.

Palusami
Part of any tourist trip should be the opportunity to experience the local culinary tastes and traditions, and Palusami is the ultimate destination. One of our favorite Samoa attractions, this unique location uses local produce to produce native Samoan dishes, or even some rather weird but strangely delicious combinations. Coconut beef stroganoff was one of the strangest combinations we ever saw. There is such a wide range of different food types and menu items to choose from; the hardest part is choosing what to have, as you are literally spoilt for choice. The problem is, with so many different things to do in Apia and such a limited amount of time, you have to make certain difficult decisions, Our advice for what it's worth would be not to skip Palusami, it's both unique and delicious.

Alofaaga Blowholes
Blowholes are always a fascinating site to behold, but in terms of things to do in Samoa, these blowholes are spectacular. The residents will even (for a small fee) place a coconut on top of one of the geysers, which demonstrates the force of the geyser when it shoots up. Make sure to have your camera fully charged, as this is another fantastic photographic opportunity.

Papase'ea Sliding Rocks
If you are traveling with a family, it can sometimes be a challenge to find something that all members of the family enjoy. These natural slides (in reality they are small waterfalls) provide a lot of fun for everyone. Obviously, ensure that there is sufficient water in the pools at the bottom before pushing yourself off, but this is fantastic fun, and the kids will probably want to come back more than once. With the longest slide being about 5 meters, your children will think that this is one of the coolest things to do in Apia, Samoa.
